Evaluations of the GICHD

In late 2003, the GICHD Council of Foundation decided to commission an independent evaluation of the Centre, in part to assess the GICHD Strategy 2003-05 and to contribute to the development of a new Strategy. The evaluation began in summer 2004, and was completed in November of that year.

Since then, the Centre has commissioned more focused evaluations of four of its programmes, as follows:

In late 2009, the Swiss Government asked the GICHD to commission a second evaluation of the Centre as a whole. The Centre also decided to commission a more focused evaluation of the  Information Management section (including IMSMA). Both these evaluations began in the 1st quarter 2010, and the reports will be finalised in the summer.
