Åsa is the Land Release Project Manager at the GICHD and joined the GICHD in January 2009. Åsa is working with Land Release projects. Her responsibilities include plan and manage outreach projects involving the development of nationally adapted survey and clearance solutions to increase operational efficiency, providing operational support to national authorities, the UN, NGOs and other mine action stakeholders and plan and implement research to improve decision making in non-technical and technical survey. Åsa has previously worked as a Quality Assurance Officer at the Mine Action Coordination Centre in South Lebanon (MACC SL) with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). She worked as Explosives Ordnance Disposal Coordinator at the Regional Mine Action Coordination Centre in Sudan, employed by the Swedish Rescue Services Agency, and as Instructor at the Swedish Armed Forces EOD and Demining Centre, SWEDEC. Åsa holds a Bachelor of Science, Mechanical engineering. |
