Céline Cheng is undertaking a one year position as a Junior Programme Officer in the Operations section, assisting in the preparation, development and maintenance of the section’s various programmes and providing general support where needed. Céline holds a degree in Political Science and History from the University of British Columbia, where her studies focused primarily on security and humanitarian issues. Prior to joining the GICHD, Céline spent some time working in the field of HIV/AIDS, as well as half a year accumulating experience in mine action, working with the Gender and Mine Action Programme (GMAP) and the International Campaign to Ban Landmines – Cluster Munitions Coalition (ICBL-CMC). |
