Lui H Halil Radogoshi joined the GICHD Information Management Team in April 2010 as Systems Support Officer. He is the focal point for Information Management support for fifteen countries. Additional responsibilities under his umbrella are IM Standards, IM SOPs and other peripheral systems.
He has more than 10 years experience in Information Management related to Mine Action. His last assignment was with Norwegian People's Aid as Advisor on Information Management in charge of IM activities at the Mine Action Department. During his assignment he was responsible for the following issues:
- Management of all information management activities related to the Mine Action Department
- Establishing IM systems and concepts supportive of MA activities
- Planning and follow up of IM activities for 32 personnel throughout our 15 operational programmes
- Involved in the process of identification and recruitment of potential candidates suitable for IM activities
- Creating capacity development plans for the IM personnel in order to increase their opportunities for involvement in other programmes
- Coordination of IM activities with various stakeholders, both internal (IT Department, Communication Department, Administration Department) and external (GICHD, MSB, local MACs, etc)
- Maintaining the Knowledge Base via SharePoint framework and assisting other departments with structuring their information at the same way
- Involvement in the start-up phase for new programmes by profiling them, creating and implementing IM activities, etc
- Involvement on the termination of programmes by securing the available information, finding other activities for the IM personnel, etc
- Maintenance and further development of current NPA Information Management Systems so they are in line with international standards and meet the requirements from the field
- Visiting the NPA programmes in order to ensure that the IM concepts are implemented and maintained
During his work for NPA he visited most of the NPA programmes, including the ones that are completed now (Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, etc), with a various level of involvement based on the requirements.
