Inna is the Geospatial Support Officer in the Information Management section. Her core responsibilities are to (1) act as a GIS and Remote Sensing focal point for the GICHD, (2) maintain the Cartographic and Remote sensing catalogue as well as to (3) act as a country focal point for system support to the countries specified by the line manager. Additional responsibilities include the development of pedagogical multimedia materials, providing capacity development in GIS for other team members and country programmes, assisting in IMSMA/GIS trainings. She is responsible to maintain the baseline cartographic repository, including procurement, digitizing, geo-referencing and archiving of material and to provide an administrative support to the section. Inna joined the GICHD in September 2009 as a GIS intern. She has obtained a MA in Environmental Natural Sciences from Geneva University and continued her specialization with a Certificate in Geomatics followed by three months of internship at UNEP/GRID - where she developed an ArcGIS geo-database. She also worked as a consultant for two UNEP/GRID projects using remote sensing and GIS technologies. |
