Pehr is the Mechanical Project Officer with the GICHD and joined the GICHD in February 2008. Pehr is working with mechanical mine clearance projects and a training and research regarding contracting, liabilities and insurance in mine action. Prior to starting with the GICHD Pehr was working as a project manager supporting the Iraqi Kurdistan Mine Action Agency (IKMAA) with procurement, mine action training and construction of demining machines with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). Before starting with mine action in 1999 he was a military engineering officer specialized in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) for ten years. Pehr has worked with most aspects of mine action, including demining, training and project management with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), Swedish Rescue Services Agency (SRSA) and various commercial demining companies. Pehr has worked with mine action in countries such as Iraq, Eritrea, Kosovo, USA, Lebanon and Jordan. |
