Silvie Holowaty joined the GICHD in October 2000. As the Website Manager, she designs and manages various GICHD website projects. These projects included the development of 13 websites for the GICHD and its partners, three to five conference registration forms per year, two online database projects, an online bookstore and more. Prior to joining the GICHD, Silvie Holowaty worked as an independant website creator. She also worked in 3D animation at MiraLab, was a production coordinator for an educational film for the Red Cross, worked as an elementary school math teacher, did research on recognising emotions through facial expressions at the faculty of psychology at the University of Geneva and produced technical texts for software instruction manuals. Silvie Holowaty obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University in Montreal with a double Major in Psychology and Mathematics, as well as a 'Diplôme d'Etudes Supérieures en Visualisation et Communication Infographiques' obtained from MiraLab at the University of Geneva. |
