The GICHD warmly congratulates Ian on becoming a Member of the Order of Australia in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list, awarded by the Governor-General of Australia on 14 June 2010 in recognition of Ian’s "service to humanitarian aid through the establishment of global landmine removal, safety and training programs." This reflects Ian’s extensive experience in and contribution to mine action , both in the field and in related roles in the UN and the GICHD.
