Lesley began working with the GICHD in 2006 and her current role is Head of Communications and Deputy Support Director. One of her key areas of responsibility is the production of all GICHD publications. These form an important part of the transfer of knowledge to the mine action community by the GICHD. She works closely with all other parts of the GICHD and the Implementation Support Unit to find and implement effective communication methods. Her professional background is in marketing and communications with an emphasis on writing and editing. Much of this experience was gained in private sector and economic development organisations in her native country of Scotland. She holds a BA honours degree from the University of Strathclyde in Marketing and Industrial Relations, as well as further professional qualifications in advertising and public relations. |
