BackgroundMartial Becker is head of the support and administration department of the GICHD, which provides a wide range of services in the fields of administration, accounting, conference management, archive and documentation, public information, etc. Prior to this Martial joined the GICHD in March 2007 as the head of the accounting department. Martial began his career with the Department of Swiss Foreign Affairs and worked for Swiss Embassies in Riyadh, Moscow and Tokyo until 2000. He then returned to Switzerland where he worked as regional secretary and accounting manager, promoting political and economic development. In 2004, he became the Administrative Director of the city of Estavayer-le-Lac. His responsibilities included implementing political decisions and coordinating the various departments of the city as well as head of human resources. |
