Between July and December 2008, William is serving as a Junior Professional Officer with the AP Mine Ban Convention Implementation Support Unit of the GICHD. His responsibilities include compiling and analysing information providing by the Convention's States Parties in order to support the States Parties in preparing progress reports and other background documents on the implementation of the Convention. William has completed his third year at Northeastern University in Boston, USA, where he is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs with a minor in Economics. He has conducted research in the area of small arms and light weapons in Palestine. Furthermore, he previously worked for the United States Department of State in its Language Services office. |
