The GICHD provides support to the Programme National de Déminage Humanitaire pour le Développement (PNDHD) in the field of programme management and standards. The PNDHD was one of the main African partners of the francophone programme.

• Evaluation of German-funded UNDP and NPA projects
• Follow-up and support for IMSMA^NG

Standards

• Support in the development of National Mine Action Standards (NMAS)

Francophone programme

• Mauritania was, together with Benin and Senegal, one of the three African partners for the Bibliomines Project. The programme was handed over to the regional partners in 2011.
• The Third African Francophone Seminar on Mine Action and ERW took place in Nouakchott in September 2010

Arabic Language Outreach Programme

• Arabic language programme launched and first Arabic workshop held in UAE in November 2012
