Tajikistan

The GICHD provides support to the Tajikistan Mine Action Centre (TMAC) and other mine action actors in Tajikistan in the field of programme management, operations and standards. The GICHD signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Mine Action Programme in September 2007. The Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the United Nations in Geneva, Ambassador Salohiddin Nasriddinov, is a member of the Council of Foundation.

Management Consulting

• Assessment of the Quality Management (QM) system
• Evaluation of the Swiss Foundation for Mine Action (FSD) in Tajikistan
• Contribution to development of a sound QM policy for a UN-managed programme
• Support to IMSMA^NG

Operations

• Support on accreditation of Mechanical Demining assets
• Advice on non-technical survey

Standards

• Assistance in developing National Mine Action Standards (NMAS)

Persian Language Outreach Programme (POP)

• Persian language programme launched and first Persian workshop held in Tajikistan in February 2013
