The GICHD provides support to the Yemen Executive Mine Action Center (YEMAC) and other mine action actors in the field of programme management, operations and standards.

Management Consulting

• Yemen was part of the regional evaluation of 2002-2008 EC-funded Mine Action in the Middle East
• Mid-Term Outcome Evaluation for Strengthening National Capacity for Mine Action (Phase II)
• Installation of and training on IMSMA

Operations

• Co-organisation of a sub-regional workshop on linking mine action and development
• Technical advice for the community livelihoods survey

Standards

• Support to the revision of National Mine Action Standards
• Presentation of and training on International Mine Action Standards

Arabic-language Outreach Programme

• Arabic language programme launched and first Arabic workshop held in UAE in November 2012
