Welcome to Links & Information for Mine Action | LIMA. This database was launched in October 2011 and replaces the smaller GICHD Links & Information Database. The information contained is now much broader and deeper. For example, European Union in humanitarian Demining (EUDEM) data was absorbed into the previous database in 2005. It was built on by adding International Test and Evaluation Program for Humanitarian Demining (ITEP) data in 2010 when the GICHD took over the website. LIMA was designed to absorb these resources, creating a specific information source for the mine action community.

- Reports & Publications of various types such as research reports, mine action strategies and plans, evaluations, guides and guidelines, information brochures, publication lists, etc.
- Mine Action Equipment E-Catalogue currently containing three sub-sections; Detectors, Mechanical and PPE.
- EUDEM and ITEP Project Archives
- Photos section containing photos of mine action Equipment. These photos are either sourced from the ITEP website or furnished by mine action equipment manufacturers shown in the E-Catalogues
- Contacts are for organisations or documents listed in LIMA
- Glossary - the list of IMAS Glossary terms that are highlighted throughout LIMA plus other glossaries.
Special Features
- Advanced Search tool specific to each section has been developed
- Related Information boxes offer connections between the different sections of the LIMA
- Context-specific Glossary. Throughout LIMA, IMAS Glossary terms are underlined and, when you pass your mouse over a word, the IMAS definition will appear in a text box.
