New Users outside Mine Action

NGOs, national governments and international donors in the humanitarian community could benefit from using IMSMA^NG outside mine action. The design concepts of the software suite have been thought to enable the user to adjust the system in order to meet the reality surrounding it.

Customisable data model

With its built-in Custom Defined Fields capability, IMSMA allows information managers to customize the data model according to their specific needs to suit the wide variety of information management needs in the humanitarian community.

Usability

Its intuitive user-interface is designed to support users with varying levels of IT literacy. The entire application is designed to run in any Unicode supported language. Additionally, IMSMA comes with a WYSISYG data entry screen designer, making data entry process simpler and easier to train.

Spatially enabled

IMSMA has a built-in GIS component based on ArcGIS Engine that is designed to provide instant visualisation and analysis to both national planners and field operations staff. The GIS capacity supports more sophisticated GIS analysis using external desktop products.
