Overview

The GICHD actively participates in the work of the Convention as an observer delegation at Meetings of the States Parties and the Intersessional Meetings. It also supports the implementation of the Convention by providing strategic, operational and information management advice to States Parties. The GICHD assists the Executive Coordinator of the CCM President in organising the Intersessional Meetings. The Third Meeting of the States Parties to the Convention in Oslo, Norway, mandated the CCM President to negotiate, in consultation with the States Parties, an agreement on the hosting of an Implementation Support Unit (ISU CCM).
