Background Briefing: Humanitarian mine action, second progress report

DFID’s Humanitarian Mines Action Strategy, approved in late 1997 and implemented over three years to March 2001 seeks to enhance UK assistance for reducing the social and economic impact of landmines and other unexploded ordnance on developing countries. An initial progress report was issued in March 1999. This Second Progress Report covers subsequent developments.
