Developing National Mine Action Capacity in Sudan

One of the stated aims of the United Nations mine action programme in Sudan is
capacity development so that the national authorities are capable of planning and
implementing the country’s mine action programme to support humanitarian and postwar
recovery processes, and fulfil their obligations to the Mine Ban Treaty.
