The National Coordination of Education Activities to Prevent Accidents by Mines and Other Explosive Devices

This evaluation assesses the 1) qualitative impact of mines awareness actions on target beneficiaries, 2) tools used by the program (educational and pedagogic materials, theatre, radio), 3) program methodology. 4) data gathering process regarding mine accidents and suspected areas, and 5) liaison work that has evolved through the program. PEPAM has three components, and they include 1) Mine Awareness Campaign Activities, 2) Mine
Education Activities, and 3) Data Collection. The process through which PEPAM implemented a) each component, and b) the collaborative effort with various government
and non-governmental partners is reviewed. The findings from each are presented in
detail in this report.
