In this STW-TUD project 2 novel types of Ultra-Wide-Band (UWB) polarimetric GPR systems are being developed:

• UWB Video Impulse GPR
• UWB Stepped-Frequency Continuous Wave GPR

Other research topics are:

• Electromagnetic signatures of mines and soil
• Feature extraction and object classification techniques
• Signal/data / sensor fusion and sub-surface imaging
