The aim of the current research phase is to prove the efficiency of different sensors (off the-shelf cameras (UV, NIR, MIR) and the feasibility of data fusion installed in a helicopter as intermediate step. Trials in a real area showed restricted potential of the system:

1. patterned ATM minefields can be detected;
2. ATM MF without pattern hard to detect
3. buried MF hard to detect via secondary characteristics; 4.very
4. small detection rate for APM.
