Trials to determine how to best adapt equipment used in forestry and agriculture for the humanitarian role are ongoing. Successfull trials of the BDM48 Brush Cutter and Deminer were completed at CCMAT (2000) and in Thailand (2001). With funding of DFAIT, the BDM was donated to the Thailand Mine Action Centre (TMAC).
