The Global Mine Dog Detection (MDD) database was constructed with the aim of providing information on, and links to the numerous organizations worldwide involved in humanitarian demining using mine dogs detection(1). The forms of involvement included in this database are; MDD training, the use of MDD in operational mine clearance, assessment and evaluation of MDD performance, research into the capabilities of MDD, and training of MDD handlers.
