One of the keys to the success of information management in mine action is its integration into daily operations. Improving the general understanding of information management tools and their use among operations staff remains an important challenge for organizations working in the mine action field. In an effort to meet this need the Geneva Centre has organized and hosted a series of workshops and conferences to address the integration of information management and IMSMA in particular into day to day operations at field level.
The most recent of these workshops was hosted in Geneva July 6-8 2004 . The goal of the gathering was to explore the use and integration of information management techniques and the IMSMA tool into mine action operations.
