The workshop, led by the IMSMA team of the GICHD, included 10 participants coming from operational programmes from Burundi, Chad, Mauritania, Guinea Bissau and from the “Centre de Perfectionnement aux Activités post conflictuelles de Déminage et Dépollution” (CPADD) in Ouidah. Hosted by the “Institut Régional de Santé Publique” (IRSP), these 10 days were well used to discuss the difficulties linked to information management, to allow interaction between participants and to introduce the new IMSMA system. The new system will be installed, in the near future, to the programmes present during this workshop that have completed the necessary steps required for data migration. At the end of this workshop, in the presence of many official authorities such as General Hessou, Cabinet Director of the Defence Minister of Benin, Ambassador Stephan Nellen, Director of the GICHD, Mr. Alan Arnold, IMSMA Programme Manager at the GICHD, and the representatives of a number of diplomatic missions, each of the participants received a certificate to confirm the work they had accomplished, and to confirm their aptitude to “think differently” which was the leitmotiv of this workshop.
