The Mine Action Programme in Bujumbura, Burundi, received the upgrade of the IMSMA software and has become the first African program to run the version 4.2 with newly implemented functionalities such as workbench preview, user friendly form building, CDF sharing and GIS-Map refreshing.

At the same time, Arouna Houedraogo, Director of UNMACC in KINSHASA (DRC) visited Burundi for the first time, in the aim of implementing cross border cooperation between the two MAPs. As this version of IMSMA is not yet installed in DRC, it was the opportunity to share experiences and discuss the benefits of installing the new version in DRC.
