A workshop in Portuguese on Introduction to Information Management and Information Management for Operations in Mine Action took place in Benin from 10 to 21 September 2007.
The workshop, led by the IMSMA team of the GICHD, included 9 participants coming from operational programmes from Angola, Guinea-Bissau and Mozambique.
Hosted by the “Institut Régional de Santé Publique” (IRSP), these 10 days were well used to discuss the difficulties linked to information management, to allow interaction between participants and to introduce the new IMSMA system. The new system will be installed, in the near future, to the programmes present during this workshop that have completed the necessary steps required for data migration.
At the end of this workshop, in the presence of representatives of the IRSP and CPADD, each of the participants received a certificate to confirm the work they had accomplished.
