This Workshop 13 on EOD Competency Standards started in November 2003 and by mid 2005 produced CWA 15464:2005.
The agreement is designed to:
- Improve the ability to assess and evaluate programmes and individuals without imposing on national or regional regulations.
- Simplify the process of planning and evaluation of technical staff development.
- Improve the Quality Assurance process by simplifying the assessment of training and competency of the staff involved in EOD work.
- Facilitating easy migration of competence between various Mine Action programmes without the needs for massive training efforts.
