An advisory support process discusses the ‘spirit’ of IMAS, i.e., the thinking behind specific IMAS and their application, or adaptation for specific programme situations. The GICHD Standards and Stockpile Section can facilitate effective dialogue at ‘Technical Working Group’ meetings that are dealing with interpretation issues or disagreements about ‘best practice’.
