This training provides mine action staff (host nation government officials and expatriate technical advisers) with an overview of the current legal norms and standards governing landmines and explosive remnants of war and facilitates the development of appropriate national mine action legislation for a country. It builds upon the GICHD Study of National Mine Action Legislation and its accompanying guide, Developing Mine Action Legislation, as well as other relevant material and experience.
