UNMAS and the GICHD hosted the third mine action technology workshop during the 6-8 September at the GICHD in Geneva. The workshop was attended by 75 participants from more than 30 countries. Participants included UN mine action staff, various field operators, scientists and manufacturers of mine clearance equipment. This year the theme for the workshop was “Merging Mine Action Technology and Methodology” and was intended to be a catalyst and a step forward in making mine action safer, more cost effective and faster. |
