Advisory Services: APMBC Implementation

Advice can be provided to, or arranged for, States Parties to the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention on all matters concerning the implementation of the Convention including in the following areas:

  • Understanding what is and is not covered by the Convention.
  • The retention and transfer of anti-personnel mines for permitted reasons.
  • Understanding completion in the context of the Convention’s mine clearance obligations
  • Requesting extensions on the fulfillment of mine clearance obligations
  • Transparency reporting
  • National implementing legislation (1)
  • Maximizing opportunities for participation in the work of the Convention

Advice can also be provided to States not parties on all aspects of the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention in order that they can make an informed decision on ratifying or acceding to the Convention.
