The GICHD offers mine risk education (MRE) training to all levels of experience. This is tailored to match the specific requirements and experience of the participants but is normally delivered in a three- to five-day workshop.
This training provides present and prospective mine risk education programme managers and directors with an in-depth review of the mine risk education field, current issues surrounding programme design, implementation and management, as well as current best practices. It builds upon the GICHD Study Communication in Mine Awareness Programmes and its accompanying document, A Guide to Improving Communication in Mine Risk Education Programmes, as well as other relevant material and experience.
