Rory Logan joined the GICHD in September 2015 as Advisor, Strategic Management. His responsibilities include the provision of technical assistance on any issues related to; operational efficiency (planning, implementation and approaches to information management), strategic planning, transition to national ownership, management of residual contamination and linking mine action and development. Rory is involved in the production of publications on related themes and the provision of training courses in support of national authorities, non-governmental organisations and other stakeholders in the sector.

Prior to joining the GICHD, Rory managed mine action and weapons and ammunition management operations in South Sudan and Lebanon for NPA (2013-2015), and Somalia (Somaliland), Mozambique, Cambodia, Georgia and Angola for HALO Trust (2008-2013).

Rory has a MA in Peacebuilding from Coventry University and a BA (hons) in Geography from The University of Manchester.
