Evaluating Conflict, Security and Development Workshops

Organised jointly by the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD), the International Security Sector Advisory Team (ISSAT) of the Geneva Centre of the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF), the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) and the Small Arms Survey (SAS), in partnership with the International Programme for Development Evaluation Training (IPDET), the “Evaluating Conflict, Security and Development Initiatives” workshops provide a unique opportunity for those working in security and development fields to learn design, monitoring and evaluation concepts, processes and methods, as well as to assist security and development officials and practitioners in assuming enhanced roles in the evaluation function (e.g. commissioning, designing and/or conducting evaluations). The workshops are aimed primarily at professionals with experience working with projects/programmes in the security and development sectors, including key policy makers and practitioners from affected countries, officials from Security and Development agencies from donor countries, and experts and specialists seeking to enhance the skills-base outside the OECD.
