The Mine Quality Management, Monitoring and Evaluation (QMME) programme aims to assist national mine action programmes in becoming more efficient and effective through better design, monitoring and evaluation, and quality management. Through active engagement with national authorities and mine action centres, the GICHD provides tailor-made capacity development training to help national mine action programmes improve their QMME capacity in a way that is sensitive to the local contexts.

Under the QMME programme, the GICHD also supports its partners by conducting evaluations ranging from entire national mine action programmes to specific operators and donor contributions. Even through its evaluations, the GICHD continues to support local capacity development, by working with and helping build the evaluation capacity of local consultants.
