The Mine Action Technology Workshop gathers mine action professionals, including national authorities, UN, international organisations, operators, manufacturers and other experts to discuss and share ideas and experiences that promote efficient use of innovation and technology in mine action.

The Seventh Mine Action Technology Workshop will take place in Basel, Switzerland from 7 to 8 November 2019.

The theme for this year is “Robotics and Remote Sensing in Mine Action.”

This workshop is a unique opportunity for mine action practitioners and technology providers to meet and discuss not only success stories of using technology and innovation, but also to look at the challenges of our sector and identify better ways for available technologies to support mine action interventions efficiently and effectively.

The focus of this year’s workshop is on Remote Sensing and Robotics in Mine Action. The rapid changes that we are seeing in the development of these technologies are indeed an opportunity for the mine action sector: new, more efficient and safer ways of working can be envisaged, and the understanding of challenges and approaches improved.
