
Olena Kryvova joined the GICHD in August 2022 and holds the position of Ukraine Country Programme Coordinator. In this role, she is responsible for designing, coordinating and managing comprehensive country programme interventions GICHDs Country Programme in Ukraine. She acts as advisor to national authorities and international organisations on constant improvement of operations. She provides training courses and operational support to national authorities, non-governmental organisations and other mine action stakeholders.
Prior to joining the GICHD, Olena was a Deputy Country Director for Swiss Foundation for Mine Action in Ukraine. She worked in mine action with INGOs in Ukraine and Iraq at various managerial positions since 2015.
In her pre-mine action life, Olena worked in Education sector in Ukraine as a language teacher, a quality assessor and a counterpart for the US Peace Corps project.
Olena has MA in Education, English language and Psychology from Donbass State University, Ukraine.
