Marion Provencher joined the GICHD in 2016 as Junior Programme Officer in Gender and Mine Action and continued as Programme Officer with the GMAP association . As Programme Officer in the Gender and Mine Action Programme division since March 2019, she contributes to the provision of technical assistance, training, outreach and research on gender and diversity in mine action, as well as internal gender mainstreaming. Prior to joining the GICHD,. Marion Provencher worked with the World Economic Forum and several NGOs, conducted research and fieldwork, and was extensively involved in student politics as well as in feminist and LGBTI activism. She is also a fiction writer. Marion Provencher holds a Master’s degree in Anthropology and Sociology of Development from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology and International Development from McGill university in Canada.
