Wendi Pedersen joined the GICHD in March 2015 as a GIS and Remote sensing specialist in the Geoservices unit of the Management Consulting division. She participates in GIS trainings and is developing new GIS products as well as providing cartographic support for the Communications unit. Prior to joining the GICHD, Wendi worked for six years on disaster event and human security analysis at the United Nations Operational Satellite Applications Programme and interned at The UN High Commission for Refugees in its Field Information and Coordination Support Section. Wendi has a degree in Environmental Studies and Resource Management as well as a degree in Geoinformatics and a certificate in Restoration Ecology from the University of Washington.
