This program seeks not only to develop competent technical instructors, but also ambassadors of good practices that can contribute to the safe and efficient handling of ammunition at the national level.


Aim

Develop teaching capacity: To equip participants with the necessary skills to effectively deliver the International Technical Guidelines on Ammunition (IATG) Course. Participants will learn to use a proven adult learning methodology that optimizes the transmission of knowledge and skills.

Strengthen pedagogical methods and approaches: It will provide future trainers with didactic tools that improve learning and information retention. The course will focus on methods that promote active participation and engagement, in order to ensure the continued application of good practice in ammunition management within the Armed Forces.


What you will learn?

The course strengthens participants’ capacity to:

  • Effectively deliver the International Technical Guidelines on Ammunition (IATG) Course, using a proven adult learning methodology. 
  • Use methods and approaches that increase learning and retention, fostering commitment to consistently apply good practices in ammunition management.

Who should attend?

All technical personnel responsible for activities in the areas of ammunition storage with good knowledge of the International Technical Guidelines on Ammunition (IATG).

Language level requirements

Participants must be able to communicate and present their national standards in the language of delivery. The following language proficiency standards must be met for the language of delivery (as described in STANAG 6001): 3221.

  • Listening comprehension: Good | 3 
  • Speaking: Good | 3
  • Reading: Good | 3
  • Writing: Good | 3

 

Teaching approach

The course will apply learning techniques for adults, such as:

  • Case studies: To analyse and solve real problems related to ammunition management in practical contexts.
  • Practical exercises: Focused on real situations, allowing participants to develop specific technical skills.
  • Presentations: For participants to gain experience in teaching the key concepts of the course.
  • Interactive discussion: Encouraging the exchange of experiences and knowledge between the participants and the facilitator.

This approach will enable trainers not only to acquire technical knowledge, but also the tools needed to transmit that knowledge effectively.


Assessment

The evaluation will be based on the delivery of the course.

A certificate of achievement will be given to those who successfully pass.
