This course provides the practical frameworks needed to build robust quality management systems within your organization, directly driving stronger operational outcomes and reducing project risks.
Aim
The course equips participants with the tools to optimize their quality processes, maximize resource efficiency, and deliver reliable, high-impact results that align with their organization's strategic goals as well as the national standards.
What you will learn?
The course strengthens participants’ capacity to:
- Identify and apply the exact operational requirements found in IMAS 07.12 (Quality Management), 7.30 (Accreditation), and 7.40 (Monitoring).
- Step-by-step check, review, and process organizational and operational accreditations for mine action actors.
- Structure, and document an integrated Quality Management System (QMS) blueprint that reduces safety risks and boosts field efficiency.
- Calculate and define specific baseline requirements and metrics during the Quality Planning stage before field operations begin.
- Conduct physical Quality Assurance (QA) and plan Quality Control (QC) checks across:
- Manual, mechanical, and Animal Detection Systems (ADS) land release
- Building and rubble clearance operations
- EOD, EORE, and Victim Assistance
- Detect operational failures, document non-conformities, and apply change management steps to correct errors permanently.
- Review accreditation and monitoring systems to ensure operational practices comply with non-discrimination policies and address the distinct needs of all community groups.
- Extract and interpret data from Information Management (IM) systems to back up your daily quality management and operational decisions.

- Substantive QM staff, operations middle and senior managers from the National Mine Action Centre and all stakeholders.
