IMSMA Core Users Training Course

Effective organisation of the Information Management System in Mine Action (IMSMA) is a key element of the state mine action programme. Given the increasing scale of this programme in Ukraine, the broad engagement of stakeholders in utilizing IMSMA products is of paramount importance.

The GICHD is organising a three-day introductory training course for direct IMSMA users within the state mine action actors. The course will run in person in Kyiv on 9-11 July 2025.

Ефективна організація Системи управління інформацією у протимінній діяльності - (далі IMSMA) є ключовим елементом державної програми протимінної діяльності. З огляду на зростання масштабів цієї програми в Україні, широке залучення зацікавлених сторін до користування продуктами IMSMA є надзвичайно важливим. 

GICHD організовує триденний навчально-ознайомчий курс для безпосередніх користувачів IMSMA в державних органах протимінної діяльності. Курс буде проходити особисто у Києві 9-11 липня 2025 року.

Aim

This course aims to gain theoretical knowledge of the basics of IMSMA Core and practical skills for the daily use of common Ukrainian IMSMA Core products, which will contribute to the enhancement of safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of mine action operations in Ukraine.

During the training, participants will be introduced to the basics of IMSMA and its tools, and will learn to use IMSMA products for data entry, data validation, and information dissemination related to Mine Action in Ukraine.

Метою тренінгу є отримання учасниками теоретичних знань з основ IMSMA Core та практичних навичок для щоденного використання загальновживаних продуктів IMSMA Core в Україні, що сприятиме підвищенню безпеки, ефективності та результативності операцій протимінної діяльності в Україні.

Під час тренінгу учасники ознайомляться з основами IMSMA та її інструментами, а також навчаться використовувати продукти IMSMA для введення даних, їх валідації та розповсюдження інформації щодо протимінної діяльності в Україні.

What you will learn?

The course strengthens participants’ capacity to:

• Outline information management principles and concepts; 
• Explain the role of information management in mine action in Ukraine;
• Understand and explain the main mine action operational processes and related reporting in Ukraine, as well as the associated terminology based on the national mine action standards;
• Navigate IMSMA and use its products in daily work to support the decision-making process.

Who should attend?

The course is limited to representatives of the the state mine action actors, such as NMAA Secretariat, NMAC, CHD, Ministry of Economy, regional administrations, local coordinational bodies, state MA operators from State Special Transport Service and State Emergency Service of Ukraine who are involved in information management processes in mine action, namely:

• Data Collection;
• Validation of collected data;
• Data analysis and dissemination of information to stakeholders.

Курс обмежений для представників Секретаріату НОПМД, ЦПМД, ЦГР, Міністерства Економіки, військово-цивільних адміністрацій, місцевих координаційних штабів, державних операторів ПМД від Державної спеціальної служби транспорту та Державної служби України з надзвичайних ситуацій, що залучені до процесів управління інформацією в протимінній діяльності, а саме до:

• Збору даних;
• Валідації зібраних даних;
• Аналізу даних та розповсюдження інформації серед зацікавлених сторін.
