The purpose of this guide is twofold: to make the strategic approach on victim assistance adopted by the States Parties widely known; and, to assist relevant States Parties in applying this approach.
The approach to victim assistance, developed in the context of the AP Mine Ban Convention, is equally applicable to addressing the rights and needs of the victims of other ERW or warrelated injuries.
