Our response
The GICHD works to reduce risks that communities face from explosive ordnance– a term that describes ammunition and weapons containing explosives. Our work focuses on landmines, cluster munitions and explosive remnants of war, as well as conventional ammunition.
Our impact
As a humanitarian organization with 95 staff from 37 countries, the GICHD provides expertise and technical support to governments, international and regional organizations, NGOs, and companies in about 40 affected countries and territories, with the aim to develop and professionalize explosive ordnance risk reduction–i.e. mine action and ammunition management.
