The regional workshop Mine Action and the Application of the International Mine Action Standards (IMAS) is currently taking place in Beirut, Lebanon. This five-day workshop has been organised by the GICHD/Arabic-Language Outreach Programme (AOP) in partnership with the Lebanese Mine Action Centre (LMAC) and the UNDP country office in Lebanon. Twenty-three participants from 14 countries from the MENA region are participating in this workshop to discuss mine action challenges and the application of IMAS at the national level.
