Head of Information management

Luan Jaupi joined the GICHD in August 2025.  As Head of Information Management (IM), he is responsible for maintaining a forward-looking vision for the division’s work and ensuring that the Centre remains at the cutting edge of IM developments relevant to the Mine Action sector.  This includes leading a team of IM experts to deliver capacity development and technical development programs to ensure that Mine Action actors are enabled to leverage information towards evidence-based operational and strategic decision-making.

Luan Jaupi has over 20 years of experience in information management within Mine Action. Before joining the GICHD, he served as Head of Information Management at HALO Trust, overseeing and coordinating IM in more than 30 countries. His earlier roles include Head of Information Management at the Albanian Mine Action Center, Information Management Officer for the Landmine Impact Survey in Afghanistan with the Survey Action Center, and Lecturer in Computer Science at the Agriculture University of Tirana.

Luan Jaupi holds a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Tirana, and a Masters in Business Informatics from the European University of Viadrina.
