Chief of Operations

Mohamed Abdalla joined the Centre in September 2024. In his most recent role as Operations Assistant within the Planning Unit, he provides administrative, organizational, and logistical support to programmes across the Centre. His work includes coordinating meetings and events, supporting supplier and consultant processes, and assisting with financial and administrative workflows. Through his role, Mohamed is helping ensure the smooth delivery of programme activities and ultimately contributing to efficient operations and effective resource utilisation across the Centre. 

Previously Mohamed served as Administrative Assistant to the Information Management division. Prior to joining the GICHD, he worked at the Confederation of African Football, the Embassies of Sudan and South Africa, gaining administration and events management experience and working on large-scale events such as the African Cup of Nations. 

Mohamed holds a Master of Business Administration & Sports Management. He lived in 8 countries, comes from a multi-cultural background, and is fluent in English, Arabic, and French.
