Christine Nyagaya joined the GICHD in April 2022 as Advisor Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E). She is responsible for developing, refining and maintaining M&E frameworks as a means of driving continual improvement across the Mine Action and wider Explosive Risk Reduction sector. She collaborates with Project and Programme Managers, as well as the Results Based Management (RBM) team, providing M&E support to operational staff that are implementing thematic programmes with partner countries and other stakeholders.

Christine has over 12 years’ experience in Monitoring and Evaluation across different sectors. Prior to joining the GICHD she worked with the UN for the past 7 years under UNOPS, Asia Region, and UNICEF, Kenya Country office, in the capacity of Senior Manager-Monitoring and Evaluation and M and E Officer respectively. Prior to that, she worked in various capacities in Monitoring and Evaluation in international NGOs.

Christine holds a MA in Project Planning and Management and a BSc in Environmental Studies.
